À l’époque, il s’agissait d’un investissement important et d’une avancée majeure pour les services d’urgence à Campbell’s Bay. Cette décision démontrait déjà un engagement clair envers la protection des vies humaines et la sécurité de notre communauté.

Nous sommes fiers du dévouement des pompiers, des membres du Conseil et des citoyens qui ont rendu possible cette amélioration. Leur vision et leur engagement ont contribué à bâtir le Service de sécurité incendie solide dont nous bénéficions aujourd’hui.

Merci à tous les membres, d’hier à aujourd’hui, pour votre service et votre dévouement. 🚒❤️

At the time, this was a significant investment and a major step forward for emergency response in Campbell’s Bay. It demonstrated a clear commitment to protecting lives and strengthening local fire services — even decades ago.

We are proud of the dedication shown by the firefighters, Council members, and community supporters who helped make advancements like this possible. Their leadership laid the foundation for the strong Fire Service we have today.

Bonne nouvelle! Le vestiaire de la patinoire rouvrira dès aujourd'hui avec de nouveaux horaires.

Samedi et dimanche : 13 h à 20 h

🦃 Présence accru

🦃 Présence accrue de dindons sauvages – Restons vigilants ! 🌲

Nous avons constaté une augmentation de la présence de dindons sauvages dans certains secteurs résidentiels. Bien qu’ils fassent partie intégrante de notre environnement naturel, les attirer ou les nourrir peut entraîner des enjeux de sécurité pour les citoyens et les automobilistes.

Voici quelques gestes simples pour éviter qu’ils s’installent près des résidences :

🚫 Ne les nourrissez pas – Le nourrissage leur fait perdre leur crainte naturelle des humains et les encourage à revenir.

🗑 Sécurisez vos bacs à ordures et composteurs – Assurez-vous que les couvercles sont bien fermés et qu’aucun résidu alimentaire n’est accessible.

🌾 Nettoyez les graines tombées sous les mangeoires – Envisagez de retirer temporairement les mangeoires si les dindons s’y rassemblent.

💦 Utilisez des moyens de dissuasion sans danger – Faites du bruit (frappez dans vos mains), utilisez un balai pour les éloigner à distance ou un jet d’eau léger.

🚗 Soyez prudents sur les routes – Les dindons peuvent traverser de façon imprévisible.

Les dindons sauvages doivent demeurer… sauvages ! En évitant de les nourrir et en éliminant les sources d’attraction, nous contribuons à la sécurité de tous et au respect de la faune.

🦃 Wild Turkey Awareness – Let’s Keep Them Wild!

We’ve noticed an increase in wild turkeys wandering through residential areas. While they are a beautiful part of our natural surroundings, feeding or attracting them can create safety concerns for residents and drivers.

Here are a few simple ways to help deter wild turkeys from hanging around homes and streets:

🚫 Do NOT feed them – Feeding wild turkeys encourages them to lose their natural fear of people and return regularly.

🗑 Secure garbage and compost bins – Keep lids tightly closed and avoid leaving food scraps accessible.

🌾 Remove bird seed spills – Clean up seed under feeders and consider temporarily removing feeders if turkeys gather.

🐕 Use gentle deterrents – Make noise (clap hands, use a broom to gently shoo them from a distance), or spray with water from a hose.

🚗 Drive cautiously – Turkeys may cross roads unexpectedly.

Wild turkeys are best enjoyed from a distance. By avoiding feeding and removing attractants, we help protect both residents and wildlife.
