Council Meeting Minutes – Public Access

The minutes of each Municipal Council meeting are prepared in accordance with section 201 of the Municipal Code of Québec and are submitted to Council for adoption at the following meeting.

Council meeting minutes are published on the Municipality’s website after they have been adopted by Council. Therefore, the minutes of the most recent meeting may not yet be available online if they have not yet been adopted.

Following their adoption, the minutes are forwarded for publication on the municipal website. A reasonable administrative delay may occur between their adoption and their publication online.

The municipal website provides a convenient means of accessing Council meeting minutes; however, it does not constitute the Municipality’s official Book of Deliberations (Livre des délibérations). The fact that minutes are not available online does not necessarily mean that they are unavailable to the public.

In accordance with sections 208 and 209 of the Municipal Code of Québec, municipal records and documents may be consulted at the municipal office during regular office hours, and copies or extracts may be obtained upon request.
