RAPPEL / PUBLICATION ORIGINALE MISE À JOUR –TRAVAUX DE RÉHABILITATION DU RESERVOIR D’EAU

La Municipalité de Campbell’s Bay souhaite rappeler aux usagers du réseau d’aqueduc que les travaux d’entretien planifiés au réservoir d’eau potable débuteront demain, le 19 mai.

✅Un avis préventif d’ébullition de l’eau entrera en vigueur demain, le 19 mai, et demeurera en vigueur jusqu’à nouvel ordre. Les usagers doivent faire bouillir l’eau pendant au moins 1 minute avant consommation ou utilisation pour la préparation des aliments. **La population sera avisée lorsque l’avis sera levé.

✅Des fluctuations de pression et une coloration temporaire de l’eau pourraient survenir durant les travaux.

✅Avec les températures plus chaudes prévues cette semaine, les citoyens sont également priés de limiter l’utilisation non essentielle de l’eau, notamment :
• le remplissage des piscines;
• l’arrosage des pelouses;
• toute autre utilisation extérieure non essentielle.

REMINDER / ORIGINAL POST UPDATED – WATER RESERVOIR REHABILITATION WORK

The Municipality of Campbell’s Bay wishes to remind water users that scheduled preventative maintenance work on the municipal water reservoir will begin tomorrow, May 19.

✅A preventative boil water advisory will come into effect tomorrow, May 19, and will remain in effect until further notice. Water users must boil water for at least 1 minute before consumption or food preparation. **Water users will be informed once the advisory is lifted.

✅Temporary pressure fluctuations and water discoloration may occur during the work period.

✅With warmer temperatures expected this week, residents are also asked to limit non-essential water usage, including:
• filling swimming pools;
• watering lawns;
• other non-essential outdoor water use.

La Municipalité de Campbell’s Bay souhaite aviser les usagers du réseau d’eau potable municipal que des travaux de réhabilitation du réservoir d’eau potable débuteront prochainement.

Ces travaux nécessiteront le contournement ainsi que le drainage du réservoir afin de permettre la réalisation de travaux à l’intérieur de celui-ci.

Les préparatifs et les travaux sont prévus entre le 19 mai et le 26 mai 2026.

Durant cette période, le réseau d’aqueduc fonctionnera temporairement en contournant le réservoir. Les usagers pourraient donc constater:

• Des fluctuations de pression;
• Une décoloration temporaire de l’eau.

À titre préventif, un avis d’ébullition de l’eau sera en vigueur pour toute la durée des travaux à compter du 19 mai 2026, et ce, jusqu’a nouvel ordre. ***La population sera avisée lorsque l’avis sera levé.

Les citoyens sont invités à :

• Bouillir l’eau pour au moins une (1) minute avant consommation notamment pour :
o l’eau destinée à la consommation;
o le brossage des dents;
o la fabrication de glace;
o le lavage des fruits et légumes;
o la préparation des préparations pour nourrissons.

• Limiter leur consommation d’eau durant cette période.
• Éviter l’arrosage des pelouses et des entrées;
• Éviter le remplissage des piscines durant la période des travaux.

La Municipalité continuera de transmettre des mises à jour tout au long des travaux.

Pour toute question ou préoccupation, les citoyens peuvent communiquer avec le bureau municipal. Les citoyens sont également invités à signaler toute perte de pression inhabituelle ou toute décoloration prolongée de l’eau au bureau municipal.

La Municipalité de Campbell’s Bay remercie les citoyens de leur patience et de leur collaboration durant ces importants travaux d’infrastructure.

UPDATED – PUBLIC NOTICE – WATER RESERVOIR REHABILITATION WORK – MAY 19-26, 2026

TO THE MUNICPAL WATER USERS OF CAMPBELL’S BAY AND LITCHFIELD

The Municipality of Campbell’s Bay wishes to advise all municipal water users that rehabilitation work will soon begin on the municipal water reservoir.

This work will involve bypassing and draining the reservoir in order to carry out rehabilitation work inside the structure.

Preparation and work are scheduled to take place between May 19 and May 26, 2026.

During this period, the water distribution system will temporarily operate while bypassing the reservoir. As a result, users may experience:

• Pressure fluctuations;
• Temporary water discoloration.

As a preventative measure, a boil water advisory will be in effect for the entire duration of the work beginning on May 19, 2026, and that, until further notice. **Users will be informed once the advisory is lifted.

Residents are asked to:

• Boil water before consumption for at least one minute for:
o drinking water,
o brushing teeth,
o making ice,
o washing fruits/vegetables,
o preparing infant formula;

• Limit water usage during this period.
• Refrain from watering lawns or driveways;
• Refrain from filling swimming pools during the work period.

The Municipality will continue to provide updates throughout the project.

For any questions or concerns, residents may contact the municipal office. Residents are also encouraged to report unusual pressure loss or prolonged discoloration to the municipal office.

The Municipality of Campbell’s Bay thanks residents for their patience and cooperation during these important infrastructure improvement works.

AVIS À LA POPULATION

Aux résidents de Campbell’s Bay et de Litchfield desservis par le réseau d’eau potable municipal :

La Municipalité procédera au rinçage du réseau d’aqueduc du 12 au 13 mai.

Ces travaux pourraient occasionner temporairement de la turbidité dans le réseau, incluant une eau légèrement brunâtre ou une baisse de pression.

Si vous constatez une coloration de l’eau, il est recommandé de laisser couler l’eau froide pendant quelques minutes jusqu’à ce que l’eau redevienne claire.

La Municipalité était heureuse d’accueillir les étudiants et de leur faire visiter nos installations municipales dans le cadre de cette belle initiative collaborative avec Place aux jeunes Pontiac, organisée avec la participation de notre directrice générale adjointe, Jessica Nilsson. 💧🙌

The Municipality was pleased to welcome the students and provide them with a tour of our municipal facilities as part of this great collaborative initiative with Place aux jeunes Pontiac, organized with the participation of our Assistant Director General, Jessica Nilsson. 💧🙌Aujourd’hui, Place aux jeunes Pontiac a accueilli Mme Jessica Nilsson, directrice générale adjointe de la Municipalité de Campbell’s Bay / Municipality of Campbell’s Bay , en compagnie des étudiants complétant leur DEP en traitement des eaux. 💧

Cette rencontre s’inscrivait dans une initiative visant à soutenir le placement des étudiants et à favoriser les liens entre la relève et les besoins en main-d’œuvre des municipalités de la MRC Pontiac, notamment en matière de stages, d’emplois et de visites d’installations locales. 💼

Une belle occasion de rapprochement entre la formation et le milieu de travail dans la région ! 🙌

Today, Place aux jeunes Pontiac, welcomed Ms. Jessica Nilsson, Assistant Director General of the Municipality of Campbell’s Bay, along with students completing their Diploma of Vocational studies in water treatment. 💧

This meeting was part of an initiative aimed at supporting student placements and strengthening connections between emerging talent and the workforce needs of municipalities in the MRC Pontiac, particularly in relation to internships, employment opportunities, and visits to local facilities. 💼

A great opportunity to bring training and the local workforce closer together in the region! 🙌
